All manuscripts submitted to Sustainable Technologies in Chemical Engineering (STCE) undergo a rigorous single-blind peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and scientifically sound research. In the single-blind review process, the reviewers know the identities of the authors, while the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers.
Authors are required to prepare and submit their manuscripts in accordance with the Author Guidelines of the journal. Submitted manuscripts should comply with the journal's formatting requirements, ethical standards, reference style, and submission instructions. Manuscripts that do not conform to the Author Guidelines may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the peer-review process
Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, each manuscript is evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned editor to determine whether it falls within the journal's scope and complies with the journal's standards regarding originality, scientific quality, ethical requirements, and manuscript preparation. The initial editorial assessment is typically completed within one week of submission. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external peer review.
Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial assessment are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field.

Revision Process
When revisions are requested, authors are expected to submit a revised manuscript together with a detailed Response to Reviewers, explaining how each comment has been addressed. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.
Final Decision
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into consideration the reviewers' comments, recommendations, and the journal's editorial policies.
Confidentiality
All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must not disclose, discuss, or use unpublished information contained in submitted manuscripts for personal advantage.
Conflict of Interest
Editors and reviewers are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the review process. Individuals with conflicts of interest should decline to participate in the review or editorial decision-making process.
Ethical Standards
The peer-review process is conducted in accordance with the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editors, reviewers, and authors are expected to adhere to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing throughout the review and publication process.
